Stick to a Routine
When it comes to getting a good night's sleep, conditioning your body to sleep at a certain time (and for a certain length of time) increases your chances of falling asleep quickly and waking up refreshed. Developing an evening ritual is also important in this regard: Set the stage for quality sleep with a warm bath, a good book or soft music.
Light and darkness
Sunlight helps regulate your circadian clock, the body's 24-hour cycle, and also stimulates the production of melatonin, a hormone that regulates your sleep cycle. On the other hand, when you're preparing for sleep, it's vital to limit sources of light that can make it harder to doze off. That means pulling the shades, turning off all the lights and shutting doors.
Don't Drink, Don't Smoke
There are countless reasons not to do either of the above, but in terms of sleep, drinking alcohol and smoking can have profound negative consequences. You may think alcohol will help you fall asleep, but it won't keep you asleep, not after it's metabolized. And nicotine is a stimulant - perfect for keeping you awake all night long.

DR. KRAFT'S COMMENTS: Most Americans without realizing it are sleep deprived to some degree. Proper quantity of quality sleep is a time to repair and regenerate healthy cellular structure in our bodies. Without it our bodies will begin to deteriorate and age at a faster rate. This leads to dis-ease and later may lead to disease. Chiropractically speaking, if the spine has subluxation patterns causing excess stress and lack of ease in the human body, quality sleep may be unattainable. The body will never truly have an opportunity to go into a complete state of relaxation and rest. If this occurs over an expansive time period, the whole body will suffer. In addition to the advice above, I would include a regimine of Chiropractic Care in your life routine.

Who wouldn't want to live life without drugs?
I came across a patient of mine the other day who is 96 years old. Believe it or not, this individual is not on any medications what so ever. Amazing, you may think. I asked him what his secret was and to my astonishment, the answer was very simple. Eat well, move well, think well. That's it? Yep, that's it. The place where we stand in our health and well being today is a product of the decisions that we have made throughout our life. The Chiropractic philosophy is not just about getting your brain and body to communicate without stress, but about living a life that agrees with nature. It really is quite simple. Do you want to know what the only difficult part of it is? It's one word that we all struggle with and it can either destroy us or bring us to the greatest level of abundance in life. Are you ready? HABIT. You must develop the habit of making good decisions. Habits are formed over weeks and months, but once you have them they will work for you. So start today and enjoy the journey.

It's all about people
As our country has been struggling economically, everything comes down to becoming more and more simple in the way we do things. I was reading Ecclesiastes and after all of Solomons pondering the meaning of life, he comes down to one simple rule. To fear God and to follow his commandments. In the book of Matthew chapter 6, Jesus tells us one simple rule to follow as opposed to worrying about all the cares of life. Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you. I believe that what He was saying is that the Kingdom of God is all about people and that we should be looking for ways to affect the lives of people in a way that would give glory to God. In return, He will take care of us.
