True Healing

Christmas is a celebration of the ultimate gift.  A Gift that would heal at the source of all sickness, all pain, all evil.  It cost us nothing, yet it's value is priceless.  If everyone received it with thanksgiving the world would be changed.  Some receive it knowing it's worth and the price that the giver paid.  Some, not knowing it's worth, place it in storage to collect dust.  Others may keep the receipt so they can exchange it for something that may appear to be of equal value, but pales in comparison.
Keep the Christ in Christmas!  Remember the true reason for the season!  Receive Him with joy and take Him into your heart.....That is where true healing begins.

3 Ways to Sleep Soundly

Stick to a Routine

When it comes to getting a good night's sleep, conditioning your body to sleep at a certain time (and for a certain length of time) increases your chances of falling asleep quickly and waking up refreshed. Developing an evening ritual is also important in this regard: Set the stage for quality sleep with a warm bath, a good book or soft music.

Light and darkness

Sunlight helps regulate your circadian clock, the body's 24-hour cycle, and also stimulates the production of melatonin, a hormone that regulates your sleep cycle. On the other hand, when you're preparing for sleep, it's vital to limit sources of light that can make it harder to doze off. That means pulling the shades, turning off all the lights and shutting doors.

Don't Drink, Don't Smoke

There are countless reasons not to do either of the above, but in terms of sleep, drinking alcohol and smoking can have profound negative consequences. You may think alcohol will help you fall asleep, but it won't keep you asleep, not after it's metabolized. And nicotine is a stimulant - perfect for keeping you awake all night long.

KRAFT'S COMMENTS:  Most Americans without realizing it are sleep deprived to some degree.  Proper quantity of quality sleep is a time to repair and regenerate healthy cellular structure in our bodies.  Without it our bodies will begin to deteriorate and age at a faster rate.  This leads to dis-ease and later may lead to disease.  Chiropractically speaking, if the spine has subluxation patterns causing excess stress and lack of ease in the human body, quality sleep may be unattainable.  The body will never truly have an opportunity to go into a complete state of relaxation and rest.  If this occurs over an expansive time period, the whole body will suffer.  In addition to the advice above, I would include a regimine of Chiropractic Care in your life routine.

Who wouldn't want to live life without drugs?

I came across a patient of mine the other day who is 96 years old.  Believe it or not, this individual is not on any medications what so ever.  Amazing, you may think.   I asked him what his secret was and to my astonishment, the answer was very simple.  Eat well, move well, think well.  That's it?  Yep, that's it.  The place where we stand in our health and well being today is a product of the decisions that we have made throughout our life.  The Chiropractic philosophy is not just about getting your brain and body to communicate without stress, but about living a life that agrees with nature.  It really is quite simple.  Do you want to know what the only difficult part of it is?  It's one word that we all struggle with and it can either destroy us or bring us to the greatest level of abundance in life.  Are you ready?  HABIT.  You must develop the habit of making good decisions.  Habits are formed over weeks and months, but once you have them they will work for you.  So start today and enjoy the journey.

It's all about people

As our country has been struggling economically, everything comes down to becoming more and more simple in the way we do things. I was reading Ecclesiastes and after all of Solomons pondering the meaning of life, he comes down to one simple rule. To fear God and to follow his commandments. In the book of Matthew chapter 6, Jesus tells us one simple rule to follow as opposed to worrying about all the cares of life. Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you. I believe that what He was saying is that the Kingdom of God is all about people and that we should be looking for ways to affect the lives of people in a way that would give glory to God. In return, He will take care of us.

Our way of giving to people this Thanksgiving and Christmas season is by offering a
Community Appreciation Month. I hope we can reach out and help as many people as possible.

Going through the motions

Have you ever felt that life was just blowing by at warp speed? One year goes by, then two, then 5, then 10. What happened? Was that time spent well? Did you give everything you had? Most people are going through the motions from day to day. Why did we do what we did today? Why?.....because we did the same thing yesterday and last week and last month. If things are going to change, and purpose and passion are going to be a part of your life, the cycle needs to be broken. Adopt a new routine. Starting today make a decision to live your life with passion and purpose. I'm going to give you a few suggestions.

#1 Make a positive impact on the relationships that are most important in your life. You know what you need to do. Search your heart.

#2 Look for ways to serve. This can be done anywhere. Be creative. I believe this is a key to finding your purpose.

#3 Take care of your mind. Turn off the news and put down the paper. Philippians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable- if anything is excellent or praiseworthy- think about such things.

#4 Take care of your spirit. I suggest reading the bible. Just understand, we are all going to live forever, so we better get things in order before we pack up and leave the cover page of the book which is this life on earth. Life is a vapor compared to eternity.

#5 Take care of your body. Eat well and move well. Your body is a marvelous machine and it needs 6 things. Good nutrition, positive body movements through exercise, fresh water and air, proper rest, and healthy functioning nervous system. Let me stress the last one that I mentioned because if is the only one that you cannot fully affect on your own. Yes, you can stretch and exercise and sit up and stand with good posture, but if the spine is misaligned and not moving properly it will affect the delicate nerves that cause every living function in your body to be less than optimal. If not corrected it can lead to future health problems. So have your spine evaluated by a Chiropractor ASAP to see if you have spinal nerve stress.



These are just a few things that will lead to a life of purpose and passion and vitality. Start with just a couple and move to the next. You will be glad you did.

In the 14 years that I have been practicing Chiropractic I am amazed at the long term affects of regular specific Chiropractic. I say specific because that is the type of adjustment that will yield long term results. I'm not meaning to step on any Chiropractors toes, but being specific is what sets our office apart from all the rest. The fruit of my labor is to see progress films after 5 years that actually look better. In my eyes, these patients are not only going to live longer, but they are also going to have years full of life.
